I am writing this letter to give my personal recommendation to Discovery House Day Care Center and to share a few of my personal experiences. My son attended Discovery House for 5 years. The first day I dropped him off I was at ease that he would be safe and happy. He made a lot of new friends and learned so many skills that have assisted him in school. It has been years since he was there and yet he still talks about his very first teacher he had there, Ms Taryn. She is absolutely wonderful and still one of his favorites! I remember one of the things I was first impressed with was that Kathy Farrell, the Director, knew every kid by name! Kathy really cares about each and every child. A friend recommended Discovery House Day Care Center to me and I recommend it to everyone who is looking for more than just a day care for his or her children. It is the best!

If you are looking for a perfect setting for your child I highly recommend Discovery House Day Care. My daughter went there since she was 18 months old. They potty trained her, she learned social skills at an early age, and she was prepped from the first day she started to get ready for kindergarten. Kathy the director became like family to her. My daughter is now older and is not in Daycare, but Kathy still calls to check up on her and see what’s new and exciting in her life. I couldn’t have asked for a better and safer place to take my daughter every day!!

My son has been at Discovery House since he turned 18 months old — more than 4 years now, and our experience there has been amazing. He’s starting kindergarten this fall, and to say he is ready is a vast understatement. They have taught him the academic and social skills that I, as a working mom, haven’t had the time or ability to teach him. He has never NOT wanted to go to DH — he is always happy to go and disappointed when we arrive to pick him up. If your child WANTS to be at his daycare, that’s a sign of all good things. The preschool teacher, Leah, has been AWESOME with him, and since he’s in his 2nd year of preschool (due to a late birthday), she has given him the extra work he needs to keep him engaged and to truly ready him for kindergarten. If you are looking for quality childcare in Kettering, I cannot recommend DH enough!
